Danza nel vento: a triumph of emotions in Santa Teresa Gallura

Sold out for the fourth edition of the Danza nel Vento gala. We are delighted to have hosted some dance stars at the Valle dell’Erica Resort for the event.

It was an unforgettable evening, with tickets sold out in just a few days thanks to a stellar cast that attracted thousands of ballet enthusiasts. The fourth edition of “Danza nel Vento” brought international dance stars to the splendid Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, creating a magical evening that will remain etched in the memories of all present.

A unique event

This year, “Danza nel Vento” exceeded all expectations, attracting an even larger audience than in previous editions. The gala, now a regular fixture on the international dance event calendar, saw the participation of the world’s dance elite, who for one night left the stages of the world’s most important theatres to perform in the historic centre of Santa Teresa Gallura, overlooking the Strait of Bonifacio and surrounded by breathtaking natural landscapes.

La natura, la tua compagna di viaggio nel Nord Sardegna

We are pleased to have once again supported a prestigious event for Sardinia and to promote the culture of dance in the region: Delphina Hotels & Resorts has been the main sponsor of the event since its first edition, and the Valle dell’Erica Resort, part of the Delphina chain, had the honour of hosting some of the international stars who performed at the event.

A cast of international stars

The evening featured exceptional artists such as Sergio Bernal, star of the Spanish National Ballet, and the étoile of Teatro alla Scala, Nicoletta Manni. Manni captivated the audience with two extraordinary Pas de Deux from “Swan Lake” and “Le Corsaire,” receiving a long-standing ovation. Equally impressive was the performance of Sergio Bernal, considered one of the most talented flamenco dancers in the world.

Among the other artists who captured the crowd’s attention were Julian Mackay, Principal Dancer of the Bavarian State Ballet, and Jacopo Tissi, the first Italian dancer to join the prestigious Bolshoi Theatre. The audience also had the pleasure of applauding Luiza Lopez from the Royal Swedish Ballet, Gustavo Carvalho from the Ballet Am Rheim in Dusseldorf, and the young talents Antonio Casalinho and Margarita Fernandes from the Bayerisches Staatsballett in Munich.

The vision of Rossella Cardo

Rossella Cardo, founder of the Artballet dance school in Santa Teresa Gallura, expressed great satisfaction with the incredible success of this edition. “We want to bring ballet out of traditional theatres and closer to the wider public,” stated Cardo. “With this event, Sardinia firmly enters the international circuit of major dance events.” Since founding the school in 1984, Cardo has trained generations of dancers, leading them to perform in prestigious events such as Roberto Bolle’s “White Ball” in Milan.

A look to the future
Over the past four years, “Dance in the Wind” has hosted the best dancers from the international scene, becoming one of the most exciting dance shows in the world. Artists like Alice Mariani, prima ballerina of Teatro alla Scala, Mayara Magri and Matthew Ball of the Royal Ballet in London, and Melissa Hamilton of the American Ballet Theatre in New York, have graced the stage of Santa Teresa Gallura, providing unforgettable emotions. The future of the event promises to be equally bright, with Rossella Cardo already working on the 2025 edition. “We will continue to bring the best of dance to the wider public,” she stated. “Dance in the Wind is now a treasure of our region and a celebration of beauty and art.”
